WCCC offers an affordable pathway to a four-year degree. Every year, WCCC students and graduates transfer on to four-year colleges and universities, in Maine and elsewhere.
Transfer counseling services are available to all WCCC students.
For more information, contact Pamela Feeney or come into the Study Center/TRIO Office to make an appointment.
To learn more, visit the transfer page on the Maine Community College System website and take a look at the transfer agreements that exist between WCCC and colleges across the state and in New Brunswick.
Students interested in transferring credit to WCCC or earning credit for other work and learning experiences should start by contacting the admissions office at 1-800-210-6932 (in Maine only) or 207-454-1000. Some basic transfer guidelines.
In general, students may transfer credits earned:
• At other accredited colleges and universities
• Through courses taken for college credit while in high school
• On Advanced Placement examinations
If you transfer to another college or university before earning a WCCC degree, you may still be able to earn an associate degree by transferring credits back to WCCC.
Reverse transfer enables students who transfer to a four-year degree program after earning at least 15 credits from WCCC to transfer credits from their new institution back to WCCC in order to fulfill the requirements for an associate degree. The Academic Dean’s Office can explain how reverse transfer works.
