Dr. Tyler Stoldt serves as Dean of Enrollment Management and Student Services and Chief Student Affairs Officer at Washington County Community College. Reporting directly to the President, he serves as the college’s second-ranking administrator and senior member of the President’s Executive Leadership Team. He provides executive leadership for enrollment management and a comprehensive student services portfolio, with institution-wide responsibilities for strategic planning, resource allocation, and campus operations.
A first-generation college graduate, Stoldt understands the difference that encouragement, accessible education, and meaningful support can make. His own community college experience provided the foundation for continued education and a career dedicated to helping others succeed. That experience shapes his approach to leadership: removing barriers, creating a welcoming campus, and ensuring students have the resources and opportunities to achieve their goals.
For more than five years, Stoldt has led initiatives at WCCC to strengthen enrollment, expand student support, improve the student experience, and increase access to higher education. His work includes strategic planning, community partnerships, and the expansion of educational opportunities for incarcerated students. He has also served as Interim Dean of Academic Affairs and Chief Academic Officer, providing leadership for the college’s academic programs and faculty. His doctoral research examined student mental health at Maine community colleges, reflecting his commitment to understanding and addressing the challenges students face.
Stoldt holds an Associate of Science from Neosho County Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership and a Master of Science in Education in Higher Education Student Affairs from Fort Hays State University, and a Doctor of Education in Adult Learning and Leadership with a focus on Community College Leadership from Kansas State University. He has also participated in the NASPA VPSA Equity Leadership Academy and the American Association of Community Colleges Future Presidents Institute.
Before relocating to Maine with his family in 2021, Stoldt held positions of increasing responsibility at Independence Community College, Neosho County Community College, Highland Community College, and Manhattan Area Technical College in Kansas.
