Tatiana Osmond, Associate Dean of the Teaching and Learning Center for Excellence (TLCE)
Meet Tatiana Osmond
We’re excited to spotlight Tatiana, Associate Dean of the Teaching and Learning Center for Excellence (TLCE) at Washington County Community College! For nearly twelve years, Tatiana has been a vital part of WCCC, supporting faculty, staff, and students through innovative technology, instructional resources, and dedication to academic excellence.
A Day in Tatiana’s Role
Tatiana oversees the TLCE and serves as a key resource for anything related to courses and Brightspace. Her day-to-day work includes responding to faculty requests, handling instructional technology issues, maintaining the college catalog, faculty handbook, and student technology guide. Tatiana also leads professional development training for faculty in areas ranging from educational technology to teaching strategies. Her role is a blend of problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration — all aimed at enhancing the learning environment at WCCC.
What She Loves Most About WCCC
When asked what she enjoys most about WCCC, Tatiana doesn’t hesitate — it’s her colleagues. The sense of camaraderie and teamwork keeps her inspired every day.
Three Words to Describe Tatiana
Zugzwang, Xenodochy, Quicquidlibet
(You might have to look those up — she keeps us on our toes!)
Outside of Work
Tatiana brings curiosity and a sense of adventure to everything she does. She once sported a spiral perm, kissed the Blarney Stone, and has visited 35 of the 50 states. She’s crossed both the equator and the Arctic Circle by sea, lived the same day twice, and ate Gouda soup in Gouda. She can recite Henley’s Invictus, knows all the words to Copacabana, and even once saw Eugene Levy putting on socks at a New York airport. She sings loudly (if not always on key) and knows more card games than most people. And one more thing: she does not like mushrooms.
Looking Toward the Future
Tatiana’s hope for the future is simple but powerful: that WCCC continues being the great college it already is. She remains committed to helping faculty and students thrive through continued innovation, support, and teamwork.
Thank You, Tatiana!
