Why Did You Choose This Program?
Emily chose the Phlebotomy program at WCCC because of her deep interest in healthcare and the opportunity to gain practical, real-world experience. She was drawn to the hands-on training that would allow her to immediately apply her skills in a healthcare setting. This, paired with the college’s strong reputation for providing personalized instruction, made WCCC the ideal choice to start her healthcare career.
Current Occupation: Graduate Student at Husson University
Currently, Emily is pursuing both an MBA and a B.S. in Healthcare Administration and Public Health as well as a minor in IT at Husson University, with plans to graduate in Spring 2025. This next step in her educational journey builds upon the strong foundation she gained at WCCC, where she first explored healthcare processes and patient care. Emily’s ambition to continue her studies is a testament to the impact WCCC had on shaping her passion for the healthcare industry.
How Did Washington County Community College Prepare Her for Her Current Role?
Emily credits WCCC with providing a comprehensive education that prepared her for success in her current graduate studies. A Recent Accomplishment: Internship at Martin’s Point Health Care
Emily recently completed an internship with Martin’s Point Health Care, where she gained valuable experience in the healthcare field. It also gave her a platform to build professional connections and hone skills that will serve her well as she continues her education and career.
Advice for Current and Prospective Students
