CALAIS, ME – The report below, published by WCCC Athletic Director Troy Alley, shows student-athlete GPAs and retention rates based on United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) normal progress rules for athletic participation eligibility—a higher threshold than those standards of the College.
FALL 2024
- Total student-athletes: 28
- Overall student-athlete GPA: 2.7
- Fall 2024-Spring 2025 USCAA retention rate: 92.6%
- Fall 2024-Spring 2025 USCAA eligibility rate: 88.5%
- Student-athletes earning a 3.0 GPA or better: 11 (39.3% 0f all student athletes)
- Best team GPA: women’s basketball (3.43)
- 100% retention rates: women’s basketball
- Student-athletes earning a 4.0 semester GPA: 1
In strategic review of the data Alley stated, “while we are always focused on continued improvement, I am proud of the hard work and academic achievements of our student athletes as WCCC grows our offerings for athletics and campus engagement in the future”.
