Meet Greg Smith

We’re excited to highlight Greg Smith, one of our Mathematics Instructors at Washington County Community College, who has been a dedicated part of our faculty for 6 years! 

 

A Day in Greg’s Role 

Greg’s favorite part of working at WCCC is the interaction he gets with his students. He has a true passion for math and loves teaching a subject that is both challenging and rewarding. Watching his students grow and succeed is one of the most fulfilling parts of his role. His enthusiasm for the subject is contagious, and he’s always there to support his students in every step of their learning journey. 

 

What He Loves Most About WCCC 

Greg values the opportunity to help students build their math skills and is passionate about making complex concepts more accessible. He can be described as energetic, positive, and friendly— qualities that make his classroom a supportive and engaging environment. 

 

Outside of Work

Outside of teaching, Greg enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending quality time with his family, especially his new granddaughter. 

Greg’s Message to Students

Greg wants students to know that he is always there for them. He considers himself a cheerleader for his students and advocates for their success every step of the way. 

Looking Toward the Future 

Greg’s goals for the future at WCCC are to continue evolving the math program and leave it in a strong position for future growth. He hopes to help even more students succeed and gain confidence in their mathematical abilities.
