Golden Eagles Make Strong Debut at KVCC Golf Invitational

Palmyra, ME — Saturday, September 13, 2025

Washington County Community College’s golf team officially launched its program with a promising debut at the KVCC Invitational, hosted at Fogg Brook Resort in Palmyra, Maine.

Calvin Hale and Kaiden Webster led the charge for the Golden Eagles, setting the tone in the team’s inaugural collegiate event.

Coach James Blase, a professional tour caddie with years of experience at the highest levels of the game, expressed his satisfaction with the team’s early progress.

“I’m very pleased with how the team is shaping up,” said Coach Blase. “For our first event, the players carried themselves with poise and competed with heart. This is just the beginning.”

The Golden Eagles now look ahead to a busy weekend with back-to-back tournaments: the Augusta Invitational on Friday, September 20, and the SMCC Invitational on Saturday, September 21. The team is committed to building on their strong start and will be putting in focused practice sessions in preparation.
