Staff Spotlight – Lindsey Karwacki

We’re excited to spotlight Lindsey Karwacki, who has been a valued member of the Washington County Community College team for two years! In her role, Lindsey plays a key part in ensuring incoming students are set up for success as they begin their journey at WCCC.  

 

A Day in Lindsey’s Role

As the New Student Success Specialist, Lindsey’s day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with all incoming students who have applied and been accepted. Whether it’s through a phone call, zoom meeting, or in-person interaction, Lindsey takes the time to go over all the necessary requirements to ensure students are “first day ready.” This includes reviewing important documents like the official high school transcript, college transcript, proof of immunizations, and emergency contact form.   

 

What She Loves Most About WCCC

Lindsey enjoys the opportunity to interact with students and witness the impact she can have on their lives. Helping students feel confident and prepared as they step into their college experience is what motivates her every day.

Outside of Work

Outside of her work at WCCC, Lindsey enjoys attending concerts, spending time with her fluffy cat (who loves attention), and exploring all that life in Maine has to offer. She’s been living in Maine for the past seven years and loves the community and scenery.

Lindsey would like students and staff to know that she loves connecting with others and always welcomes a friendly “hello.” She believes in creating a warm, approachable atmosphere and is always ready for a good chat.

Looking ahead, Lindsey hopes to continue doing everything she can to support students and ensure they are well-equipped to succeed in their future careers. She is passionate about helping students achieve their goals and preparing them for success beyond WCCC.
