Health care career opportunities for medical coders are among the most stable in job markets throughout the U.S. and in Maine, with salaries that can grow with each year of hands-on experience.

The course of study includes Coding Basics and Certified Medical Coder training modules. Especially for new coders for work in an outpatient setting, this 5-part Coding Basics series covers fundamental coding concepts and introduces CPT, ICD-10-CM, and E/M coding. This course includes 18 hours of recorded instruction and 5 digital workbooks.

This format includes access to twelve instructor-led 90-minute recorded sessions, a full course manual with workbook exercises, medical terminology course, a practice exam, and timed, six-hour proctored certification exam.
